The drilling of 8 boreholes in Kasiya ward has been completed.
The project was undertaken using the 2025 CDF allocation costing about K1, 053, 507.
The project has seen all the 6 zones benefiting, notably, Mahululo, Chaba, Natebe community, Natebe Dam, Kasiya and Daka Munyama area.
The Contractor for the project was Buildstrong General Dealers who managed to complete the project within the contract period.
The people of Kasiya had suffered for a long time lacking clean water as they depended on streams and a few boreholes from some farms.
This forced residents to be sharing water with animals which is no longer the case as the ward had seen 10 boreholes done within two years, all of them funded by CDF.
Out of 10 boreholes, 4 of them are solar powered which have enabled residents to venture into vegetable growing thereby changing their lives for the better.
